What we collect, and what we don't.

• Estimates. The inventory, room, and route details you enter into the calculator stay in your browser by default. They’re only stored on our servers if you save them to a planner account, and only embedded in a shareable URL if you generate a share link yourself.
• Account details. If you create a planner account (consumers) or a company account (movers), we store your email address and an encrypted password via our authentication provider. Movers also provide a business name, contact email, service area, and optional branding.
• Lead and contact submissions. When you submit the contact form or send your estimate to a mover, we collect the name, email, phone number, and message you provide, along with the calculator summary attached to that submission (total volume, estimated weight, recommended truck).
• Photos (optional). If you use the photo-to-inventory feature, the image is sent to our AI provider for one-time analysis and is not stored by us. Only the list of detected items returns to your calculator.

When you submit a form, our servers record technical details for security, fraud prevention, and analytics:

• Technical data. IP address, browser user-agent, device type, and the page the submission came from.
• Attribution data. Referring URL and campaign parameters (UTM tags, Google click ID) if present in the link you arrived through.
• Anti-spam signals. A risk score from Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise and an internal spam-flag, used only to keep junk submissions out of the inbox.
• Embed analytics. For the embeddable calculator, we log anonymous view and lead events (timestamp, source URL, user-agent) so movers can see how their embed performs. These are not tied to a personal profile.

• To run the calculator and save or restore your estimates.
• To route a lead to the one moving company whose embed or listing you submitted it through — never to a marketplace or to multiple movers.
• To send transactional email (account verification, password resets, lead notifications).
• To protect the service from spam, abuse, and fraud, and to understand aggregate usage so we can improve the product.

We do notsell or rent your personal information, and we don’t use your submissions to retarget you with advertising.

• With a moving company you contact. If you submit your details through a mover’s themed embed or directory listing, that lead is shared with that mover so they can respond to you. They become an independent controller of the information you sent them.
• With service providers. We rely on a small set of vendors to operate the service. They process data only on our behalf and under contract:
  • Supabase — database and authentication (United States)
  • Vercel — application hosting
  • Resend — transactional email delivery
  • Google — reCAPTCHA Enterprise (bot protection), Maps Platform (address autocomplete), Analytics (aggregate usage), and the Gemini API (optional photo analysis)
• For legal reasons. If required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of our users or ourselves.

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to keep authentication secure — these can’t be turned off without breaking login. If analytics are enabled, Google Analytics may set cookies to measure aggregate, non-identifying usage. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the calculator still works without analytics cookies.

Our public directory lists moving companies using business information drawn from publicly available sources (company name, location, public website, and publicly posted images). This is business contact information, not personal data. If you operate a listed company and want your listing corrected or removed, email us at hello@pimnerds.comand we’ll handle it.

We keep account data for as long as your account is active. Leads and contact submissions are retained while they’re operationally useful and then periodically pruned. Saved plans persist until you delete them or close your account. Uploaded photos are never retained.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these, or to close your account, email hello@pimnerds.com. We’ll respond within a reasonable timeframe and won’t charge you for a reasonable request.

You can also delete a saved plan yourself from your planner dashboard, and unsubscribe from non-essential email using the link in any such message.

MovingCalculator.io isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we’ll delete it.

We may update this policy as the product evolves. When we do, we’ll change the “last updated” date above. Material changes will be communicated through the site or by email where appropriate.
