We built it for the household shipping a third of its life across a continent, the family comparing five quotes from movers in three time zones, the planner who needs a defensible cubic-foot number before they pick up the phone.

Most online moving calculators are loss leaders for one company — you put in your bedrooms, you get a single quote, you get followed around the internet for three weeks. That’s a sales tool with a calculator stapled on. We’re trying to build the calculator first.

The math is real: industry-standard cubic-foot estimates per item, a 10–15% packing buffer, truck recommendations indexed against actual cargo volumes. The numbers don’t depend on which mover’s logo is in the corner. They’re yours, the quotes are yours, and you can take both anywhere.
