Gentle Giant Moving Company

Gentle Giant Moving Company is a Boston, Massachusetts-based moving provider founded by Northeastern University graduate Larry O’Toole. What started in Cambridge as a small operation between engineering jobs has expanded into a nationally recognized moving company. The business maintains strong local roots, regularly navigating historic neighborhoods like Beacon Hill and the North End as well as broader communities across eastern Massachusetts.

The company provides local, long-distance, international, and commercial moving, alongside packing and secure, climate-controlled storage services. Crews also handle specialty requests, including craning and dedicated piano moving. With eight locations across Massachusetts and additional offices throughout the country, Gentle Giant accommodates moves ranging from small, local transitions to complex cross-country and global relocations.
